Chrissy in the Blue Mountains

After being away for the last five weekends (and Jared missing soccer every weekend), we still had one more weekend planned for Christmas in July in the Blue Mountains. Melissa is the best at planning events and had booked a beautiful cottage for the weekend in the little town of Leura for her & AJ, Jared & I, Sam & Lisa with baby Amoree, and the Argus Family (Paul, Brady, daughter Emily, and little Finn). The Blue Mountains throw the event every July and the cottage was decked out complete with a christmas tree.

We arrived early saturday morning for brekkie before we headed for a stroll through Leura and all its wonderful shops with the intentions of getting Secret Santa gifts for everyone. However, we did spot many gifts for ourselves including home made fudge! We made it back in time to crack open the wine and cheese & crackers before starting dinner. AJ brought along the deep fryer for the turkey (the best way to make it, of course) while the ladies made the sides...potatos, carrots, stuffing, and some pies for dessert. We stuffed ourselves. Afterwards we broke out our new party game from the store that day, True Colors, and we were all impressed. AJ consistently got voted for telling Tall Tales and tied with M for their love of shopping, Sam was upset that he received some votes for posing nude, while Jared got voted to be a CIA agent.
