Book Review: Dead Lucky

When the summer comes around I like to have a good book to read while I lay on the beach.  My neighbor, Marg, gave me a book that I have been waiting to read, Dead Lucky.  Its a biography of Lincoln Hall, an Australian man who climbed mount everest and was left to die overnight at the top but managed to survive.

Marg herself just went to Nepal to climb a mountain.  She also went to Tonga to swim with the whales last month.  She is in her 50's and has amazing stories of things like driving across the outback of Australia.  We love stopping by or having dinner with Marg to swap stories.  She went to Vietnam a month after we did just this year.  I hope that I am still as adventurous when I am her age.

The book itself wasnt the best written and felt a little unpersonnel at first.  But the chapters on his night out on Everest and rescue was still enthralling.  Overall, a decent read.
