Wedding Weekend in Conneticut
Call me crazy for heading on a 9 hour flight to the States for a weekend, arriving Friday evening in the States and heading back Sunday afternoon to arrive at 830 am Monday morning in Zurich and ready for work. But I didnt want to miss Pat & Nicoles wedding. We miss them so much. We became very close to Pat & Nicole in Sydney and spent many holidays, birthdays and other celebrations together so I couldnt miss this.
And fall in Conneticut is beautiful. I almost forgot how nice it is in New England this time of year. You just dont get the same kind of fall foliage and weather anywhere else. The weather was particularly brilliant for the wedding. Perfect for an outdoor wedding overlooking the tree lined river.
Pat & Nicole did an excellent job planning and I was impressed. We had a limo with Champagne, cocktail hour by the river, an intimate dining room dripping in chocolate colored hues and chandeliers, a good DJ, and a candy bar.
After breakfast the next morning, we headed back onto the plane for our overnight flight home. And after a frantic hour searching for Jareds passport and a very happy call to the Philadelphia airport police station with the passport, we were actually on the plane.
Super chaotic but super worth it.
