Zermatt
Zermatt...perhaps, the best place in Switzerland. You have seen the pictures but until you get there and enjoy a view of the Matterhorn up close, you just dont feel it. This is Switzerland at its best.
We spent the extra money to get a room with a view. Ski in and Ski out accommodation overlooking the town and the Matterhorn. There is nothing like seeing the Matterhorn from your balcony first thing in the morning and last thing before bed.
The slopes were great. We had amazing snow and great weather. And there was plenty of ski area which meant we could easily find some slopes to ourselves. Mountain Goats. Great mountain huts. Great food.
A must see and for me living in Switzerland, a must do every year.
