Australia Day 2011

Every year when we get back from our Christmas and New Year's holiday, its straight back into busy season. But every 26 January, we have off for Australia Day and we always look forward to it. This year it fell on a Wednesday which meant we only went to work for two days before having a mid-week break and then back to work for only two more days before the weekend!

It just so happens that our friends Phillipa and Richard (a couple with the same birthday) have their birthday on 26 January as well. So we decided to host a BBQ on the beach in front of our house. And we couldn't have asked for a better day...

We found a spot of grass under the shade for our chairs and towels and of course the BBQ which Richard rolled down from his place to the beach. The weekend before I was on a man hunt to find us some lilos as well so we could spend the afternoon floating in the ocean. The weather was gorgeous and we did just that. We can't wait to take the lilos out again. Its the perfect way to spend the day.
