The Swiss Air

Its been a rainy spring and summer so far and none of our planned trips to the mountains have worked out.  But in July I had booked in for some white water rafting with friends from work.  Even though it was rainy and freezing we took the three hour train to Scuol on Switzerlands southeast border.  A very tiny town and upon arrival I wondered if we were in the right spot.  It turned out to be a brilliant day.

We had english speaking guides and spent all day on the rapids, rafting through quintessential Swiss towns with views of the hillside houses and chapels and then of course the beautiful canyon.  Just being out in the mountains and smelling the fresh crisp mountain air melted away any home sickness.  I love the outdoors and it was just what I needed.
