A weekend in Germany

Jared has been traveling a lot for work...China, Thailand, Austria, Germany, etc.  It seems like I never see him.  So last weekend, I went to see him in Germany.  We took the weekend to explore a little piece of Germany tucked into the border by the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Theres no major attractions here... just neat little German towns lining the Reine river.  Dusseldorf, Cologne, Aachen and Bonn all have an attractive bar scene and we spent hours wandering the towns and enjoying the good weather. 

Then on Sunday we headed south to a nearby national park with towns dotted along its rivers and lakes.  Our main stop was Munchau, a delightful little german town full of craft stores, cafes, terraces, and picture perfect German architecture.  Its enough to make you lose track of time until you've spent the whole day and thats exactly what we did.
