Bellagio, Lake Como
We seem to be making a habit of honeymoon crashing when our friends from Australia come to Europe. This time we were meeting friends on their honeymoon in the Italian Lakes district. It is really a stunning area, although very relaxed. Its much more about enjoying the views, food and wine with maybe a little bit of swimming or boating. But in October swimming wasn't really an option.
We met up in Bellagio, a gorgeous town with good shopping and GREAT FOOD. Everyone knows I love Italian food, but this might have been some of the best I have had. We gorged ourselves all weekend.
So 5lbs and one new Italian purse heavier, we drove our way through the narrow winding streets along Lake Como and back to Switzerland on Sunday. Its so close and an easy overnight trip from home so I am excited to come back again next year.
