Riley - 3 months

Riley the legend continues. He is still really active and strong. He is a pro at rolling over and has now started to creep.  He also is still very social and vocal.  He is a little charmer but I cant wait until we move past the screeching phase.

As he can now roll himself over and sleep on his stomach, he has naturally weaned from the swaddle. Thankfully he is also starting to put himself to sleep, although I will miss rocking him to sleep. He has also moved up in the stroller world too.  We changed out the bassinet for the seat since he is used to being in the Moby Wrap and being able to see the world. Although we still don't use the stroller that much, it is starting to get hot and he will have to learn to be in it more.

He was happy to have the grandparents come visit at the end of May - plenty of attention for Riley.  Plus, a few nights out with my friends, dinner with jared and a spa day for me.  We also took them traveling  - a long weekend in Italian lakes and a day trip to france. And in etween we enjoyed showing them around town, brunching, hitting the markets and our favourite chocolate, gelato, and cupcake shops.

What I love about Riley this month

  • his groggy half sized morning smile
  • our one on one time during the day
  • his personality - I love that is so physical and social.  He is a lot of fun.
  • how hard he tries to crawl. He is so determined and not easily deterred. He is almost there and can really scoot himself around.
  • how easy going he is
  • he is a wild sleeper - he is all over the crib and I love checking on him every so often to see his new sleeping positions
