Riley - 2 months old
Another month down and I feel like Riley's baby phase is flying by. He has started to be interested in his toys and his hands and feet and has hit the non-stop drooling phase (one thing I will be happy to have fly by). He continues to grow and is now, thankfully, sleeping through the night.
His personality continues to shine and he has learned the "angry cry" to let us know when he wants to do something (or not to do something). Particularly, he loves his baths and we get to enjoy his angry cry every time we take him out of the bath. Needless to say, he doesn't get baths more than absolutely necessary.
He still is a budding socialite and tries to make friends everywhere we go. In fact, he gets mad if he is not included in the conversation. He will yell at complete strangers until they say hello and also loves to talk to himself in the mirror.
And of course his love of moving hasn't stopped. This month he has started to roll over and walk with support but is not yet crawling, although he tries very hard. He puts his butt up in the air and proceeds to pile drive his face into couch. Not surprisingly, he gets frustrated with it and prefers us to help him stand and walk instead. Luckily, we have lots of friends to pass him off to.
His love of movement also means he needs to be constantly carried around the room to see new things, loves walks and going to new places. He fits right in with us and has been great to travel with.
This month has been full of long weekends away. So the few days home each week are full of relaxing, unpacking, laundry, and packing again. But we still fit in our daily walks along the lake for coffee and a few mommy meetups.
