Riley - 9 Months
FIRST WORD!! And its .... MAMA! I couldn't be prouder but Jared doesn't like to admit it. Riley really has expanded his sounds and imitates sounds too. Sometimes he sounds like he is having a real conversation. He loves to point out things or show you them and has special sounds for them. He says Pad, pad for Penguin.
He can stand and take a few steps by himself when he doesn't realize you have let go. Maybe he has had one too many tumbles and the fear has set in.
But mostly this month has been a cognitive leap - putting together toys and imitating you. He has to press the elevator buttons, brush his non-existent teeth, brush his hair, is a good helper in putting on and taking off his clothes, etc. He even decided to take his shirt off all by himself in the middle of the café the other day.

- Mr Lovable - Riley is such a loving person. He loves to come up and give me and Jared cuddles, hugs, and kisses. He also gives other kids cuddles, hugs, and kisses.
- His Laugh - I say it every time but it never gets old. I hope he never looses it.
- The Tank - Riley loves to eat. He eats everything and all the time. Sometimes, we have to cut him off. He has no teeth but manages to eat just about everything from a full piece of pizza or chicken fingers to spinach.
