Thanksgiving in Zurich
Expacts stick together...so that means there is inevitably the holidays get stretched out and there are more Thanksgiving dinners than if you were at home. It makes the holidays great...one long social holiday season. Maybe something we should all do.
It also gives us the opportunity to cook and try something new twists on traditional foods:
- Baked cambered cheese with Dijon and pecans
- Salad topped with a wheel of hot melted brie and homemade Dijon balasamic vinegratte
- Roasted beets and carrots with Rosemary
- Roast turkey with rosemary and oranges
- Cranberry sauce made with oranges and fresh mint
- Sweet potatoes with peaches and pecans
- Homemade Pumpkin Pie from scratch
- and lots of wine
No wonder why Thanksgiving is my favourite holiday!
