Thanksgiving at Home
It has been 5 years since I have had a Thanksgiving at home...and for Americans that is big. Its my favourite holiday. I like it even more than Christmas.
Its great having a job that allows you to travel though and I always try to make the most of it by booking on holiday or at least a weekend.
This year I managed to plan my work trip to NYC the same week so that I could see my family over the weekend. I don't get to spend enough time with them...especially my growing nieces and nephews. One bad thing about living abroad. But the time we do have is definitely lived up to the fullest. We built obstacle courses and had scooter races, nerf gun fights, and special agent missions and of course plenty of cuddles and food.
A weekend isn't long enough but I still managed a few of my favourite things in Pittsburgh....a Pens game, breakfast at Delucas, lunch at some new hot spots (Pittsburgh has some amazing new food joints popping up everywhere) wings and beers at Fat Heads, and lots of shopping (America has the best shopping!!!). I love Pittsburgh and am happy to be able to come home to such an amazing city!
