Skiing with Baby

Its our last ski season in Switzerland, sigh. We were determined to make the most of it despite a 1 year old in tow and we ended up with four great weekends that made me want to rethink my decision to move this summer.

Wengen

While there is not much to the town, the skiing is good. We had great weather and friends who have a rental property there.  Riley loved the daycare which had the most reasonable prices we have seen in Switzerland. No reservations. Just drop off!

Davos

We organized a weekend away with two other couples who have kids that Riley adores. He was so happy to be with them. This time the hotel organized sitters for us during the day Saturday and at night for an adult dinner out. And on Sunday we had time for a little sledding and lunch in the sun.

Bettmeralp / Riederalp

One of my favourite ski areas! Its a real ski in / ski out, car-free town. And amazing views over the Aletsch Glacier. We rented a baby sled and pulled Riley around. They have a small outdoor play area but Riley just loved the sled and watching the skiers. There was also a kids play area in Restaurant Pizzeria Boccalino. It was perfect for the mother in law to watch Riley while we skied.

Zermatt

Our annual trip. I have never had a bad time there. The views. Skiing. And the food....The. Food. Again, we put Riley in daycare so we could enjoy the time skiing and he loved it.
